Jeb Berman joined the Foundation as Government Relations Manager in late January 2010. Jeb holds an undergraduate degree in geology-biology and a Masters of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy, and he has spent most of the past four years immersed in national ocean policy and marine conservation issues in Washington, D.C. Most recently, Jeb completed a John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship in the office of Congressman Mike Thompson (CA-01), where he had the opportunity to engage with diverse government, industry, academic, and nonprofit institutions on ocean issues ranging from fisheries management and ocean energy to marine protected areas and observing systems. In addition to serving on the Hill, Jeb has worked for the Pew Environment Group, Communication Partnership for Science and the Sea (COMPASS), and SeaWeb. He is from Northern California, an Eagle Scout, a scuba diver, and a Washington Capitals fan.
