2010 Ernest F. Hollings Ocean Awareness Trust Fund
The National Marine Sanctuary Foundation is pleased to issue a Request for Proposals for its Ernest F. Hollings Ocean Awareness Trust Fund. The Fund was established in 2005 as a tribute to the long standing commitment of former U.S. Senator Ernest F. Hollings (D-SC) to promoting public involvement and understanding of the benefits of the ocean to current and future generations.
Following Senator Hollings’ interests, the Foundation is interested in funding public awareness projects with a conservation message, and tackle the specific issues of marine debris, human interaction with marine mammals, non-point source pollution and runoff, oceans and human health, or ocean acidification. The attached RFP and Frequently Asked Questions serve as a guide for your proposal submission. Please read both documents carefully, as the requirements for this grant have changed since the last funding cycle, including that applications must be submitted online by October 22, 2010, through http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NMSFHollingsGrant. A preview document of the application questions can be found in the links below. This document should only be used to preview questions found in the application and may not be submitted by email or fax as your application.
