Allison Alexander Grants Manager
Allison Alexander brings with her more than seven years of experience in fundraising and public relations for non-profit organizations. She most recently served as Development Manager at TLC-The Treatment and Learning Centers, managing the fundraising efforts for this multi-service organization. Allison was involved with TLC’s $1.1 million capital campaign, initiated new fundraising projects including a 5K Race, and facilitated approximately a half million dollars in grant funding for that organization. She was also responsible for the recruitment and management of more than one hundred community service and special event volunteers each year. Her duties also included coordinating all details of TLC’s special events, including an annual golf event, fashion show, and road race, as well as donor cultivation and stewardship events.
Prior to her work at TLC, Allison served as Director of Community Relations for Washington County Regional Medical Center, a 100-bed hospital and nursing home in rural Georgia. In this capacity, she was responsible for directing all community events, coordinating all advertising and press coverage, and creating an employee morale program. She also had primary responsibility for developing public awareness and support for a major switch in hospital blood providers, and served as the Community Coordinator for Networks for Rural Health, a pilot program of Georgia State University that sought to improve the health care options and continuum of care in rural communities.
A native of coastal Georgia, Allison received her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a concentration in broadcast news from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia in Athens.
